NILGIRI: The City of Blue Mountains

Positioned at the ghat of the Sahyadri hills, Nilgiri is an eye-catching hill station in Indian state Tamil Nadu. There are 24 peaks in Nilgiri Mountains with an average height of above 6600 ft. Doddabetta is the highest peak with 8652 ft height. The Nilgiri hills are parts of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and itself also part of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
